A huge man with an equally huge talent, Barry White was rarelyout of the top twenty sellers in the late 70s delivering hit after hit produced to a formula that was uniquely his. Born in Galveston in 1945 and cutting his musical teeth singing gospel, his first experience of a recording studio was at just eleven playing piano for Jesse Belvin on "Goodnight My Love". His work as a producer brought him in contact with all girl group "Love Unlimited" and his voice appeared briefly on their debut single "Walking in the Rain"
Signing to 20th Century Records in 1973 started an amazing career with the formation of the Love Unlimited Orchestra and Barry White becoming a solo artist.
His soulful gravely voiced vocals combined with lush string arrangments became his tradmark and anthems for lovers across the globe, rewarding Barry with hundreds of Gold, Silver and Platinum Albums.
